The Story

“Amor y Sal” is a song that basically talks about love stories in general, seeing how these are formed and eventually disappear, suddenly they emerge and then they are shipwrecked.  The song talks about the frustration of realizing from the beginning that it wasn’t going to work out and that it always ends up falling apart halfway,” commented Las Villa in reference to the single.

The music video unfolds inside a moving train — a metaphor for life’s journey. Through a dreamlike lens, we travel across imaginary stations that represent the stages we go through, and the people we meet along the way.

“The video tells the story of this every day that is happening in parallel and happens to many people where we live in a constant movement and meet many people and learn different from many people, where we fall in love and fall out of love,” said Las Villa about the music video.

A poetic visual exploration of love, loss, and everything in between — set to the rhythm of life itself.

Afterwords

Directing my second music video for Las Villa was an absolute pleasure. It allowed me to explore more of the Latin American culture based on magic realism and the story behind how Las Villa could be transported from their living room into "The train of life," working along with the help of Mr. Wolf Studios for the colorization and VFX shots, and once again with two amazing artists such as Laura & Lucía Villa. It was terrific to work with such a talented crew.
